As part of the Festive Fervor event, which is themed around Christmas, Krampus joins in to celebrate alongside the task to kill 10 Elf Team Six members hiding. The main difference here is that each game has a slight variation in terms of objective, but the task remains the same.
Currently, as of Warzone Season 4, you can no longer complete this activity.

This guide explains how to inflict 365 points of damage to Krampus in Warzone and as well as how to kill Krampus 3 times in Vanguard.
On this page:
If Krampus gets too close, you can expect a big melee swing that will most likely leave you incapacitated.
Sadly, Krampus isn’t exactly an easy enemy to confront. It will take you quite a while to take Krampus down, and the constant chase means that you can’t just camp in place or spend a lot of time carefully planting mines or other equipment.
That being said, you have until January 4th, 2022 to complete either challenge, which grants a wide margin for trial and error. If you’d like to know more about how to trigger, and then survive the fight, the following sections may come in handy.
First things first: in order for Krampus to appear in Warzone, you must collect coal from Festive Fir Trees. These are always close to points of interest, as can be seen in the examples below:
The locations aren’t fixed, but opening the map as you’re on the plane for a quick look before jumping will do the trick. Once you arrive to one of the trees, you’ll notice it’s on tier one (unless somebody else got there first). You just need to stay near the tree until the bar fills up to tier three.
For each one of these tiers there will be gifts around the tree. Alongside some pretty handy loot, from weapons to killstreaks, there is a chance of finding coal.
Coal can also be spotted on random drops that happen elsewhere in the map, but it’s always good to at least start on a tree or check if there’s one nearby that is still in tier one during your travels.
You’ll know when Krampus is targeting your squad thanks to a message on screen saying so. That being said, hearing bells and Krampus’ roars will signalize the creature’s presence either way. This means that if Krampus is targeting a different squad, you can still go ahead and damage it from a distance to complete the challenge.
Warzone Season 5 is almost here!
If you want to learn more about firepower from previously, we explain the best Welgun loadout, best Cooper Carbine loadout, best Gorenko Anti-Tank Rifle loadout, best STG44 loadout, best MP40 loadout, best Automaton loadout, best BAR loadout, best Combat Shotgun loadout, best Type 100 loadout, and best Kar98k loadouts.
Basically, this translates to avoid to play the objective (which will vary depending on the multiplayer mode of your choice) and aiming to have a lower score. The spawn rate of Krampus in Vanguard can be even more random in general compared to Warzone, which can be frustrating.
Speaking of which, killing Krampus is much harder than just inflicting damage. Krampus is quite the bullet-sponge type of enemy, so it will take a lot of firepower. We recommend for you to chase killstreaks, such as Deathmachine (7 kills total) and Flamenaut (9 kills total).
