Released into early access back in July 2020, Grounded adapts the familiar gathering-and-crafting survival formula into a rollicking family friendly adventure inspired by the likes of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and A Bug’s Life. Here, players are miniaturised and sent on a conspiracy laden escapade around their now-towering backyard, forced to fend off giant insects and other creatures as they explore, scavenge, and plot their escape. According to Deadline, Grounded’s new television adaptation will follow the same basic premise, telling the story of four friends who, the summer before high school, find their plans to elevate their social standing upended after discovering shrinking technology that makes them two inches tall....

Along with 6DoF movement and comfort options for things like seated or standing play, the mod also brings minor motion controls to the game as well. Horizon Call of the Mountain, which was announced back in January, is a first-person experience set the series’ gorgeous, post-apocalypse world. It casts players as a new character - Ryas, a former Shadow Carja Warrior who hopes to redeem himself by investigating a grave threat to the Sundom - and sets them on an adventure featuring main series protagonist Aloy and a host of other familiar faces. Call of the Mountain’s new trailer, revealed during tonight’s PlayStation State of Play, offers a first proper look at the game in action - including some of the activities players will be able to partake in using Sony’s upgraded VR kit, such as archery and mountain climbing - and it would be an understatement to say it all looks spectacular indeed....

Specifically, Krafton (thanks TechCrunch) is targeting the continued availability of Garena’s Free Fire games - which it calls “thinly veiled unauthorised versions of Battlegrounds” - with the original Free Fire having already been the recipient of a legal challenge by the PUBG developer. Free Fire: Battlegrounds, as Garena’s game was rather shamelessly known at the time of the original lawsuit, launched for mobile devices shortly after PUBG’s release in 2017 (PUBG Mobile arrived the following year) and Krafton’s initial lawsuit, which accused Garena of copying key elements of its game, resulted in a settlement between the two companies in Singapore....
