Elder Fugen’s Errand is one of the first of these types of side-missions encounter, which see villagers request certain items or to complete specific tasks on your travels. Unlike most other Requests, this requires an item you can find within the village hub itself - and acts as a tutorial of sorts for the Canteen and preparing food. For more help on Monster Hunter Rise, check out our weapon types list, in-depth Insect Glaive page, wirebug guide, Jewel lilies locations and how to use Traps and Tranq Bombs to catch monsters. The Canteen is within the village hub, just down the steps from the Elder, and to the right, just next to Yomogi the Chef. Select the Canteen button prompt when it comes up, then Motley Mix on the menu. Here is a variety of items you can hand over, which are then prepared and turned into other food types. At the top should be Red Meat, which will be roasted and turned into Well-done Steak, as shown in the window on the right. Confirm this - you only need to order one, and either paying with Money or Points is fine - and you’ll get the Well-done Steak item.
