If you took part in any raid during the first Destiny era, it’s likely that you stumbled upon a Guardian wielding this weapon. This rocket launcher was quite the standout, not just because of its Norse-based design but mainly due to its use of tracking rockets. With the right perks this weapon was unstoppable, and everyone was always on pursuit of a possible drop. Whether or not the weapon will have the same sheer firepower in Destiny 2 is yet to see, but for now, this page details how to unlock Gjallarhorn, which requires you to know how to start And Out Fly the Wolves and the steps to complete the quest. On this page: Note that you will need to purchase the Bungie 30th Anniversary DLC to access the quest. It is a rather long quest, so brace yourself for a few hours of playtime at the least to obtain the weapon. Once there, exhaust the dialogue with Xur until you’re looking at the regular vendor screen. On the bottom grid of items, switch to the second tab to find the And Out Fly the Wolves quest. While ‘hidden’ you don’t need any big previous steps, which is a relief. The quest will then begin by taking you to talk to Shaw Han. Once you have picked up And Out Fly the Wolves from Xur at the Treasure Hoard, you’ll have to head to the Cosmodrome and speak to Shawn Han. From here, the task will take you to complete Grasp of Avarice, which is the DLC’s unique dungeon (it has a recommended 1310 Power Level, by the way). This can be started from the Cosmodrome’s map or your directory. Our Grasp of Avarice guide will explain how to complete the dungeon. Once done, you’ll then have more quest steps ahead of you to unlock Gjallarhorn. You can do this anywhere across the Cosmodrome, but we recommend visiting the Lost Sector in The Divide called Exodus Garden 2A. Powerful Fallen are aplenty here - it’s likely that it will take you a few visits instead of doing it on one go, but it’s a fairly short Lost Sector to juggle. Once you have collected all seven Wolfpack Rounds, return to Shaw Han for the last few steps. It’s December, which means the return of The Dawning and Moments of Triumph 2022! Elsewhere, the Season of the Seraph is here alongside More than a Weapon, Seraph Key Codes and Resonate Stems and the addition of Rose in Crucible. We’ve also seen a new dungeon, Spire of the Watcher, with has a chance of Hierarchy of Needs dropping upon completion. Earliear this year we had the arrival of King’s Fall and King’s Fall challenges, plus weapons including Doom of Chelchis and Touch of Malice. For The Witch Queen, learn how to get Dead Messenger and Parasite. First, after you’ve given Shaw Han all seven Wolfpack Rounds by returning to the Cosmodrome and speaking to him again, he’ll give you the Rocket Housing quest item. You’ll need a weapons expert for the task, and who else than Banshee-44 to help you with this? Go ahead and pay him a visit in the Tower. He’s located in the usual spot near the Courtyard. Banshee-44 will tell you that the last component is located in Exodus Garden 2A, which means that you’ll be running the Lost Sector one more time. Yeah, it’s a bit boring, but you only need to do a quick run of it without worrying about item drops. Only a handful of steps left. Return to the Cosmodrome once more and, instead of talking to Shaw Han directly, head to his hideout (located to the right side of his location) and use the tool chest to assemble the Gjallarhorn components in your possession. All that’s left is for you to talk to Shaw Han one last time to obtain Gjallarhorn. Congratulations for completing the quest!
